California CARB sales blocks lifted on an air purifier and a filter
An air purifier with its CARB certificate already on file, and a replacement filter that needs no certificate, were both blocked from selling into California. Both blocks came off.

The problem
A large-room air purifier was flagged under CARB on 1 September 2026, with $195 in sales at risk, even though its CARB certificate was already uploaded to Amazon. Separately, a replacement carbon filter could not ship to California from 18 August, because Amazon's system treated it like an air purifier that needs CARB approval.
What we did
For the purifier, we sent Amazon marked-up screenshots proving the certificate was on file, and appealed. For the filter, we opened a case with documents explaining the product: a replacement filter, not a machine that needs CARB certification.
The result
The purifier's restricted count was still 1 on 9 September and 0 on 15 September, with zero policy violation warnings in the Open tab. The filter's California warning was gone by 24 August: the same Beverly Hills 90210 address now showed free delivery.
