How the guides are checked
Most guides list the pages they rely on under Sources at the end, so you can read Amazon's own words for yourself. Newer guides are also checked claim by claim against Amazon's own pages before they go out, and say so under the headline, with the date.
When a guide is revised, the page says when, next to the date it first went out.
