Three counterfeit complaints, three listings reinstated

Rights owners reported three of a reseller's Amazon US listings as counterfeit, and Amazon took each one down. All three came back, in Amazon's words: "We removed listing restrictions and the Account Health policy violation record."

The problem

Between 15 and 19 November 2024 three listings on a reseller's Amazon US store were removed after rights owners reported them as counterfeit: paper napkins, a BB cream and a butter cutter. Amazon's notices said that if proof of authenticity was not provided within 60 days, Amazon could destroy the stock.

What we did

We sent supplier invoices and product details with an appeal for each listing, and contacted the rights owners about a retraction.

The result

Amazon emailed that each listing was reinstated: the napkins on 19 November, four days after removal, the butter cutter on 22 November, three days after, and the BB cream on 17 December. Received IP complaints on the Account Health page went 2, then 1, then 0. On the same seller's Amazon.ca store, four trademark flags went to 0 in about 19 hours.
