The problem

On 2 October 2024 a seller's Amazon US account showed a regulatory compliance warning, "Updated U.S. Tax Identity Information Required", rated Pending Critical, under a red banner: the account was pending deactivation. Amazon's deadline was 30 December 2024. On 31 August Amazon had also flagged one of the store's T-shirts as a pesticide and removed the listing.

What we did

We dealt with the warning on the account and checked both pages until it closed. For the T-shirt, we checked the flag, confirmed it was false, because a T-shirt is not a pesticide, then opened a case and worked it with Amazon until the violation was removed.

The result

At 10:35 am on 4 October the Regulatory Compliance filter read 0 with "Zero policy violation warnings", and the deactivation banner was gone: about 39 hours after 7:22 pm on 2 October, screen clock to screen clock. The restricted products count went from 1 on 5 September to 0 by 4 October 2024.
